AKF(P) is looking for a highly qualified professional to fill the role of Management Information System (MIS), Officer to support the Health and Nutrition focused project. The incumbent will formally report to the Advisor, Health and Nutrition at AKF, P. This position will be based in Islamabad and will require frequent travel to project sites.
Overview of the role: The MIS Officer will be responsible for developing and maintaining the data management system of Health & Nutrition projects and will be responsible for the collection & analysis of different data in relation to the project activities, develop and ensure maintenance of information tracking systems (tracking sheets or databases) for key performance indicators.
Duties and Responsibilities
Major responsibilities of the MIS Officer are as following:
- Developing and maintaining the MIS of the project and will be responsible for the collection & analysis of different datasets in relation to the project activities.
- Ensure that data systems are aligned with project indicators and frameworks.
- Develop Performance Indicator Tracking Table and use regularly with project /partner staff to examine progress towards objectives.
- Assess overall project implementation with respect to project outputs indicators targets.
- Develop and maintain project depository.
- Conduct regular data quality audits with implementing partner and ensure the quality of data and assist in preparation of monthly/quarterly report.
- Assist and coordinate with project teams to ensure that all necessary documentation/MoVs are available.
- Assist in the process of project final evaluation.
- Timely collection of information and drafting of ‘human interest stories’ of persons impacted by the project.
- Train and support implementing partners project staff on MIS tools, data collection, and reporting protocols.
Required Qualification & Experience
- The candidate must have a strong background in data management field with a minimum bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science preferably in data science or any other relevant field from a well-reputed and recognized university.
- The candidate must have at least 5 years of relevant experience in data analysis, program evaluation, and reporting.
- Familiarity with health and nutrition-related indicators.
- Strong familiarity with monitoring and evaluation methodologies and logical frameworks.
- Ability to multi-task and work on tight timelines.
- The candidate must have solid field-based experience & be able to engage field teams on practical, operational solutions.
- Candidate must have outstanding knowledge of MS Office, Analytical tools and packages, flexibility to travel and ability to work with a diverse team are encouraged to apply.
